When Silence Speaks Volumes

My posts here on Substack are often triggered by something going on in my life or my business. In an effort to be transparent and share what I’m doing, what I’m struggling with, and what’s going on, I fear that people are not getting much from what I’m writing.

Slowly, they walk away without saying anything.

This isn’t a “poor me” post.

This is a pivotal post.

I’m building in public.

What the heck does that mean?

It means I’m being completely transparent about what I’m doing online to build my own business around writing.

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

This is one aspect.

It’s obvious to me that there’s not enough content about you and how you can use writing to navigate your life more effectively.

I hear you, loud and clear.

I need a bit of time to course correct.

UPDATE: Brainstormed 17 topics this morning.

While momentum on Substack is currently stagnant for me, I’m seeing traction on X.

I believe fully in developing and maintaining a daily writing habit. Writing is still one of the most important skills you can have in 2024 and beyond.

The entire Internet revolves around it.

Even YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and every popular site you can think of depends upon words.

So, while it can often seem that being a creator is moving toward video or audio, it’s still all based in writing.

That leaves a lot of room for we writers.

So, until I get a body of content aimed more at you and how you can make a living as a writer…
